My goal and passion is to provide a safe, student centered environment to help prepare all students in taking ownership of their education to create lifelong learners and responsible citizens. I believe that every student can be successful and I strive to make learning fun to excite students every day. My heart’s desire is that my love and dedication to students’ and their families’ always shines through every decision that I make with a student first approach.

As a teacher, I have had the opportunity of teaching fourth, fifth, and sixth grade and as an Assistant Principal I have had the privilege to serve at Meadows, Hightower, and Centennial. I became the principal at Rasor in 2018 and have enjoyed every minute. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jeremy, and my precious German Shorthaired Pointer, Mia. I love to read, run, work out and always cheer on my Texas A&M Aggies!

Assistant Principal

Jason Ramos

I am thrilled to join the Rasor Elementary family! Entering my third year as an assistant principal, I couldn't be more excited to officially become a Rocket. My journey in education began at Christie Elementary, where I taught fifth grade for ten years before moving into administration in Richardson ISD. Most recently, I had the joy of serving as a math instructional coach at Weatherford Elementary.

At my core, I am a passionate advocate for every child. I am deeply committed to creating equitable opportunities for all students, fostering a welcoming and safe environment for our families, and cultivating a deep sense of pride in our school, our shared work, and the way we support one another.

Raised in the Dallas area, I attended Jesuit High School before earning my degree at the University of Texas at Austin—where I also met my wonderful wife. We are the proud parents of two active young boys who are thrilled to finally attend elementary school together right here in Plano ISD.

Outside of school, our weekends are usually spent coaching and cheering on our sons at their various sports games. In what free time remains, I enjoy cooking (and eating new types of food), hitting the golf course, and tackling the occasional DIY home improvement project.

I am looking forward to an incredible year of learning and growth alongside our students, staff, and families!
